【摘要】:Standardnomenclatureshallbeusedtofacilitatecommunicationbetweendesigners,suppliers,andusersofHVACventilationductworkcomponents.Standarddesignparametersshallbeusedtodefineventilationductworkshapes.Standardvariablesfordesignparameters(see2.2)areusefulinwritingCAD/CAMsoftwareforautomaticfabricationofventilationductworkshapes.1.1ThispracticecoverstheidentificationofdesignconfigurationsanddescriptivenomenclatureforsheetmetalHVACductworkshapesfrequentlyusedinshipbuilding.Thispracticealsocoversparametricdimensionsoftheseshapes.1.2Thispracticedoesnotcoverthelocationofseamsorjointswithinashapeorthemethodofjoiningshapestogether.1.3Sincethispracticeisnotmeasurementsensitive,itisapplicablewhetherinch-poundorSImetricdimensionsareused.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
