【摘要】:ThisspecificationcoversseveralclassificationsofsealantsasdescribedinSection4forvariousapplications.Itshouldberecognizedbythepurchaserordesignprofessionalthatnotallsealantsmeetingthisspecificationaresuitableforallapplicationsandallsubstrates.Itisessential,therefore,thattheapplicabletype,grade,class,andusebespecifiedsothattheproperclassificationofsealantisprovidedfortheintendeduse.Testmethodsrelatetospecialstandardspecimensubstratesofmortar,glass,andaluminum.Iftestsarerequiredusingsubstratesinadditiontoorotherthanthestandard,theyshouldbesospecifiedfortesting.1.1ThisASTMspecificationcoversthepropertiesofacuredsingle-ormulticomponentcold-appliedelastomericjointsealantforsealing,caulking,orglazingoperationsonbuildings,plazas,anddecksforvehicularorpedestrianuse,andtypesofconstructionotherthanhighwayandairfieldpavementsandbridges.1.2Asealantmeetingtherequirementsofthisspecificationshallbedesignatedbythemanufacturertobeoneormoreofthetypes,classes,grades,andusesdefinedinSection7.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandardissimilar,butnotidentical,toISO11600.
